about

As the seconds tick in, Jungle roars to life with “Dull My Brain”, a track equally as upbeat and energizing as it is desperate and frantic. It outlines the person’s battle with substances and their decision between depending on it, or despising it. With classic rock inspired guitar riffs and 80’s hard rock style vocals “Dull My Brain” is the tangled and beautiful foundation of Jungle’s story; the love-hate relationship between depression/anxiety and addiction.

lyrics

I can’t sleep tonight
My mind keeps running and I can’t stop it
Just one more time
Numb the feeling for another moment

But I’m too stuck in my ways
I can’t get out of my daze

The nights get longer each time
When will my suffering die

I can’t get through with no high

Give me some more, give me some more
Oh yeah I need a change
Give me some more give me some more
I need that in my veins
Give me some more give me some more
I wanna be numbed and dazed
Give me some more give me some more
I need to dull my pain

I wake up and bake my brain
I used to do a little but it’s gotten insane
Small truths wrapped up in a bigger lie
Convince myself that all I gotta do is fly

But I’m too stuck in my ways
Each time my fix gets a raise

Oh no, I’m not going to lie
thought my suffering would die by now

I can’t get through with no high

Give me some more, give me some more
Oh yeah, I need a change
Give me some more give me some more
I need that in my veins
Give me some more give me some more
I wanna be numbed and dazed
Give me some more give me some more

I wanna be numbed and dazed
I wanna be stunned and hazed
I wanna be numbed and dazed
Dull my brain
Give it to me

I can’t sleep tonight
I can’t sleep tonight
I can’t sleep tonight
I can’t sleep tonight

My mind flows like a river
Release me from my chains
My mind flows like a river
Release me from my brain

Give me some more, give me some more
Oh yeah, I need a change
Give me some more give me some more
I need that in my veins
Give me some more give me some more
I wanna be numbed and dazed
Give me some more give me some more
I wanna be numbed and dazed
I wanna be stunned and hazed
I wanna be numbed and dazed
Dull my brain
